Background

Savannah Lowery was born in Largo, Florida. She began her dance training at the age of three at the International Dance Academy in Seminole, Florida. She also studied at Judith Lee Johnson's Studio of Dance with Amy Rhoda-Taylor and at Florida Ballet West. Ms. Lowery entered the School of American Ballet (SAB), the official school of New York City Ballet, full time in the fall of 1999. In November 2001, Ms. Lowery became an apprentice with New York City Ballet, and in October 2002 she joined the Company as a member of the corps de ballet.  She was promoted to the rank of soloist in December 2007.
